2nd Year Wedding anniversary

I can’t believe that it’s been two years since we got married… TWO extremely deliciously happy years! We have our ups and downs… but overall, we have been extremely happy and that’s the main thing! We haven’t killed each other so I guess that’s a good sign right?

So to recap… in no particular order… :

  • Our trip to the US – Chicago / Boston / NY / SF / LA / Vegas – 3 weeks all up in US with a road trip from SF to LA, stopping at Yosemite National Park amongst other places. Ate lots, drank lots and caught up with many friends whom we haven’t seen for a while!
  • Our food adventures – well my food cravings and Hubby tagging along.
  • My adventurous cooking / baking that Hubby had to consume – he is still alive so I must be doing something right! Thanks for saying its ‘good’ even when I know it tastes horrible!
  • Our endless discussions about me changing my surname and us having kids…  he still needs to hold his end of the bargain before kids – that is TWO big overseas trips before kids – one US (TICK!) and the other EUROPE (and I am still waiting…..)
  • Our endless discussions about finances! Hubby’s famous line “do you really need another pair of shoes?” – after being together for five years, shouldn’t you know the answer by now? Not all shoes are the same!
  • Watching Hubby and the cricket team win the premiership would have to be the highlight for Hubby in 2009 and by default is also ‘my’ highlight! I have to admit, they played superbly that day and we (the cricket wifes / gfs) had a great day out sitting under the sun, chatting and eating.
  • Watching Hubby go through an emotional rollercoaster week in and week out as his favourite AFL team, Bombers either lose or win! Highlight for me would be Hubby pacing up and down in front of the tv and cursing the players… and the tv… (like they can hear you Hubby!). [Same goes with cricket].
  • Hubby’s moral support at my attempt to play soccer and him ‘coaching’ me!
  • Spending quality time together and finding that balance between work and life. He has that ‘balance’!
  • And last but not least… Hubby got transferred for work to Hong Kong… it has been the highlight of our 2nd year marriage thus far!

Many thanks for all the happiness the past year… I am sure there are more to come!

Thanks for putting up with me – I know I am not the easiest person to get along and I can be such a grouch sometimes!

Too my beloved husband and the many happy years to come 🙂
