Last breakfast in Sydney @ Café Morso

Had my last breakfast in Sydney with my dearest friends – A, P, S and T. I was glad that it was a gorgeous sunny day – it had been raining all week I was in Sydney and weather was just below par. A have been wanting to try this place for a while now, so thought we would go here. I have also heard raving reviews about it. Came here at about 10 am and the deck was already fully booked! However, we did get a table inside, which suited me fine.

Situated in Jones Bay Wharf in Pyrmont, this little café is great for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They won the best café in 2008 and the best breakfast restaurant in 2009.

I opted for something ‘healthier’ for breakfast which was avocado and house cured salmon, lemon, extra virgin olive oil and toast. The house cured salmon was delicious and avocado fresh. This was indeed a ‘healthy’ and ‘light’ breakfast.

A and S ordered the bacon and egg gnocchi with baby herbs and truffle oil. The gnocchi with truffle oil was to die for! It was especially made, and it was slightly pan fried – you could definitely taste the truffle oil infused in it.

They serve coffee by the bowl – and my gawd.. it was a HUGE BOWL!!!! I was actually surprised I finished the whole thing.

Everything on the menu sounded divine! It was a great breakfast catching up with friends, my only complaint would be service was a tad slow. It was a busy day and not many staff on deck. Regardless, a great breakfast with great friends.
