Cute little café, Remy and Lee’s, Surry Hills

Cute little café on Bourke Street. I stumbled across this café a while back now, and it’s a true gem! Remy and Lee are so friendly and welcoming.

They serve one of the best coffee’s in Surry Hills – strong, and aromatic! One cup is never enough!

I came here with B, my eating partner in crime one morning for a quick catch up. It was over the Christmas break and they had limited menu, however, they did have the bircher which is exactly what I was craving for.

The bircher muesli is homemade and legendary. I have heard so many wonderful things about the bircher that we both had to try it! Lee makes her own bircher, and I have to say, the rumours are true! It is better than what they say. The bircher was moist and mixed with dried fruits and nuts it was exactly what we needed that day. We were informed that the shops nearby ran out of strawberries, so it was served with passion fruit which was just as good!

B and I had a wonderful morning sitting there people watching and catching up. We were tempted to try Lee’s famous muffins also but I was too full from the coffee.

Check out the tree – I love! Was tempted to take it home, but I think they would notice that it’s missing!

It’s a great little cafe. They have some wonderful pies and sweets which are from Black Star Pastry – I do love their meat pies! Great little spot, even if you just want a coffee!
