Naha Japanese, Taikoo Shing, Hong Kong

Naha Japanese is literary downstairs from where we live. I have walked past this place many times, and it has always been busy so suggested to ‘The Mother’ one lunch time. When we rocked up at midday, the place was relatively empty but by the time we left it was full. Reservation is recommended but if you rock up early I think they will accommodate you.

Naha offers diners set lunches which includes appetizers, salad, miso soup and rice. The appetizer is nothing to rave about.

The salad was ok.

and the miso soup was nice but I definitely have had better.

We couldn’t go past the sashimi set – portion wise I thought was a tad small. Five different types of sashimi, they were fresh but it would have definitely been nicer if there were more.

The wagyu beef was absolutely incredibly delicious – tender and succulent and the meat just melted in your mouth.

Portions could definitely have been bigger for what it is – total cost from memory was HKD270 (AUD34) – which isn’t too bad but you can definitely get something cheaper with bigger portion elsewhere.

Regardless, it was still enjoyable and service was good.
