Gyotaku, Central, Hong Kong
Another restaurant on 11 Stanley Street, Gyotaku can be found on the 12th floor and is probably one of my favourite restaurants in the building. I have been here many times that I have lost count. One advice, make a reservation before you go as it is usually busy and they will turn you away! If you come early enough, like midday, you might be able to sit at the bar!
Gyotaku offers tasty lunch sets and daily specials. With each lunch sets you get a salad, pickles and miso soup as well as dessert – which never changes! The salad is reasonably simple but tasty – nothing to rave about but it’s not bad.

The beef hotpot is a favourite amongst my colleagues. Steaming hot, the beef is tender and a generous serving at that.
I can never go past the miso cod – the cod is cooked to perfection, and although it is not up to the standard of Nobu it is still pretty good.
The steak is also another favourite of mine – cooked to perfection, the beef is tender and absolutely delicious.
I think my go to meals here are either the miso cod or the steak.
For dessert, black sesame pudding – it is not too sweet and it’s always a nice way to end the meal.
Service is good, food comes out relatively quickly and is quite decent.
